Angela do the superintendent in El Centro Elementary School District I'm here to welcome you to 2019-2020 Student of the Year celebration I'd much rather see you in person I love the looks of proud parents grandparents and Sonam as their children receive this prestigious award so what does it mean to be a student of the year according to our teachers they select students who are either high-achieving or most improved or maybe they become a great helper in the classroom one thing that makes them special and they want to celebrate it so that's what today is all about I hope you enjoy the video as we celebrate our students of the year at the El Centro Elementary School District and now here's a word from our most valuable people to District are bored of Troy on behalf of the Board of Trustees of the El Centro Elementary School District I like to welcome everyone to this year's Student of the Year ceremony in this welcome to members of our district and faculty and most importantly to our students who are being recognized this evening for their hard work and dedication that they have shown throughout the school year you have demonstrated that you possess strong leadership skills you are a role model and an outstanding citizen keep up the hard work and continued to strive for academic success Congratulations by a Million numbers for nearest school board I would like to congratulate our students of the year I would like to thank our parents for the support and our teachers and staff for their hard work and dedication have a great summer thank you I am here to congratulate some really important stood and I'm so proud of whatever you did your teachers have chosen you for certain reason and I know that they are proud of you so I know whatever it was you did a super good job so thank you putting your time and your effort and being a good student and I just want to tell you that I'm very very very proud of you so congratulations and parents and Andra mothers and fathers I want to thank you two because this is been a very difficult time and I know that you went overboard and we really appreciate all that you've done even though we couldn't have your students in classrooms I know that you did your work and again our teachers went out of their way and thank you teachers but you know what is summertime now and I want you guys to have a good summer and enjoy your summer and we'll be back together soon and I can't wait so thank you and congratulations to the students and have a great summer interesting penguin I'd like to take a moment to congratulate you for this great achievement you really become a shiny star and your hard work shows continue to strive for the continue to strive for more because I exactly what you are the best I look forward to seeing you do great things congratulations you and your parents on being selected as the year it takes hard work and determination from all of you to achieve this goal once again congratulations green zebra principal at the Anza Magnet School I want to welcome you today to a very special presentation that we have for you before we get started I just wanted to take the opportunity to let you know that everyone here the Anza Magnet School wishes you all well we hope you're all healthy I hope you're all taking all the necessary precautions to stay safe we realized that the closure of our School site has to have been very difficult especially our children because they are to be outside to be with her friend and hopefully should be with their teachers so hopefully were able to get back together soon but until then we need to stay happy when you can stay healthy and we need to stay now why are we here today we're here today because of a special presentation that are wonderful superintendent with your Jamba Juice has asked us to put together he has to do this every single year and we talked this deal with it might not happen but he said no no no just show must go on so without further Ado here we have our students of the year for the 2019-20 school year deanza Magnet School the room one family is proud to have Zoe Harrington as our outstanding Student of the Year from the moment Zoe walk through the door until the end of the day she radiates positivity and eagerness to learn exceptional quality of work and strives to excel in all areas of academics for best quality is that she's a caring individual we have all benefited from a kind or encouraging word from her many times I look forward to watching her on her path of wonderfulness I loved being her kindergarten teacher love always misses London Sebastian has many great qualities that make him the perfect candidate for Student of the Year Sebastian is always respectful cooperative and I kind student to all of his peers he has a car Ganges student and always puts forth his best effort we love watching the tremendous growth Sebastian has made both academically and socially since his first day in kindergarten as a shy and timid boy he has Excel an accelerated reader and has read almost 100 books Dennis can we love teaching you this year and can't wait to see you do great things in life love always mrs. Mrs. preciado and mrs. Gatlin it is with great pride and joy that I have chosen Rosalinda eaten a student of the year Rosalinda is a role model student she is disciplined self-motivated and sick about upcoming challenges best of all Rosalinda is a kind and caring friend to everyone I am the luckiest teacher in the world congratulations Rosalinda love always mrs. Doolin the outstanding student of the year for room six is James Wimmer James is a smart responsible enthusiastic kind and very thoughtful young man he excels in all academic areas and always needs a challenge head-on James you are an amazing boy and I feel honored to be your teacher thank you for a while 4 year love always misses howington it is with great honor that I select said who's as my outstanding Student of the Year said who is an exceptional student with a C song Passion for learning he excels way above his second grade level in all academic areas his daily dedication to his studies is to be admired you have an amazing family support which reflects academic success I'm so grateful and fortunate to be your second grade teacher I am so proud of you said he'll love mrs. Ford it is with excitement and go pleasure that I introduced to you Juliana Hernandez as student of the year she goes above and beyond in her academic studies her positive personality demonstrates teamwork she is a caring responsible student Juliana is more than willing to help other classmates I am honored to have had Juliana in my classroom this year I'm so proud of you Juliana best wishes love always misses Montenegro Joshua carbajal is an excellent example of a dedicated student he strives everyday to excel in his school work and is always willing to lend a helping hand in the classroom Joshua a wonderful student and young man I am absolutely honored to have been your teacher thank you for your outstanding work this year love always and best wishes miss us Sophia yamas thoughtful caring and responsible young lady she is energetic and cheerful every single day she stands out not just because she's a kind friend and classmate but because she is humble Sophia is at top of her class yet stays focused in her passion for Learning and for helping those around her it was a privilege and a blessing to have her in my class thank you Sophia are being you love always and best way mrs. Gonzalez Jonathan Betancourt has become an exemplary student who strives to do his best every single day Jonathan has made great progress the school you're exceeding staff expectations he has become a great friend to peers hard-working and respectful I'm so very proud of you Jonathan keep up the great work love always misses it is with great honor and excitement that I present to you and Lisa is stata as student of the year for room A1 she is dedicated and always strives to do her very best in her academics she excels in her school or she is responsible in all areas and she is a great team player overall and Lisa is a beautiful human being and she will do wonderful as she moves on in her higher grades Alyssa thank you for being you love you always mrs. Diaz it is an honor and privilege to present Giovanni da Vila Hazard stood I'm the year or room 18 Giovanni is a very dedicated and self-motivated student that is always ready to learn Giovanni always has a positive attitude and is always willing to help others it is an honor to be your fourth grade teacher keep up the good work and do your best in 5th grade love always mrs. Vasquez it is a true honor to announce Savannah Marcus as student of the year for room 24 Vanna is an example of what an all-around student should be she not only excels academically but also behaviorally and social this is observable not only in classroom but in all settings here at the Anza Magnet School it has been an honor and pleasure being her teacher this year best Wishes Always Mister Hanuman Dylan concert is a shining sample of what it means to be a deanza Explorer which he demonstrates in all aspects of his character and academic achievements he has an innate ability to articulate thoughts which paint a vivid picture for his eyes not only does Dylan Excel academically and he is able to infuse a passion for learning that is contagious to his fellow classmates and this teacher it has been a pleasure to experience is caring and joyful analogy in the classroom and I cannot wait to see what height of learning he will achieve in the future Dylan you are a true Superstar and on behalf of myself and our entire 5th grade class we wish to congratulate you the honor of being Student of the Year love always mrs. Sanchez estela Munoz is a successful 6th grade Avid student who demonstrates every single day his love and a creation for learning he goes above and beyond the expectations in all of his assignments especially stem projects he is also an innovator and great at creating digital one pagers with engaging animations on is our 6th Grade Student of the Year and we are very very proud of him thank you for being so amazing love always misses Marcus Jesus Fernando Leiva Define AKA Fernando is an exemplary scholar with a heart of gold day in and day out he strives for Success he comes to school ready to learn and ignites positivity where are during class he is inquisitive pushes his peers to think critically and displays a great work ethic congratulations Fernando you are a student who truly shines the best in 8th grade and love always misses Martin Jasmine exemplifies everything add an Explorer should be a collaborator thinker Avid Reader creative Problem Solver an eloquent speaker her passion for learning is contagious not only does she Excel academically but she also carries herself with integrity and spreads positivity and kindness wherever she goes Jasmine thank you for being such a positive role model and inspiration to your peers there is no doubt that you will have a very very bright future best wishes in 8th grade and Beyond love always misses Ortega what an honor it is to present to you Renzo and Vera as one of 8th grade student of the Year Renzo encompasses wonderful traits that make him an exemplary student is driving love of learning motivate him to be the best student he can be it has been a joy to have this morning class especially as we could constantly count on his inquisitiveness and thirst for knowledge to shine through during class and sisterly Renzo contribute to the class by posing interesting and thoughtful questions or by adding to lessons with his point of view and interpret nation of class material Randall's hard work has her name a grade point average of 4.0 Straight A's in all of his classes and recorder that isn't easy dear Renzo it has been wonderful to have you in class and to be your teacher I'm so proud to call you a deanza magnet Explorer and I know you will go on and continue to accomplish great things in your life congratulations Renzo wishes as you move forward love always misses Imperial Gonzalez I am proud to present Amelia as one of 8th grade students of the year he is the president of our school demonstrates exceptional leadership skills and is a great role model to all the students at deanza Magnet Emilio is also a great athlete self-motivated and a responsible young man he is very passionate about learning the desire and willingness to work hard to reach his goals Emilio you are the definition of an excellent student and it has been a pleasure to have you in class you will have a bright future and I wish you the very very best love always misses artists Chando has a great spirit for exploration she is always ready to try a new project she works hard to make her work the it's me when Kayden is done with her own work or projects she doesn't hesitate to help others work through their project to get them done she is always willing to try any special projects I give she truly makes technology a fun to see her enthusiasm about technology class everyday makes it that much more fun and interesting she truly deserves the technology Student of the Year award wish you the best and with great respect Arias Julian Bacchus is a hard worker self-motivated and strives to do his best he never seems to give up he comes to class everyday willing to give his all and does not quit when most others would he is unselfish and is willing to help others when he is able to I've known him since he was in the fourth grade and it has been a true honor seeing him grow and prosper from academically I'm socially into being such a fine young man I'm very proud to have been one of his teachers good luck in high school Julian love always misery hi this is Mr Cheetos I would like to take a moment to wish all of our students who have one student of the year for 2020 a big congratulations as like also relay parents have worked very hard this year especially since this year has been a little bit different than what we've all kind of been stuck at home and had to really step it up to work and continued education going I'm very proud this year and I'm telling you I am proud to introduce Julian Gomez fear for mrs. Matos is Kinder class has been an outstanding student who is shown passion and hunger to learn since day one Julian is also very respectful dedicated and enthusiastic he always has a positive attitude and he tried his best all the time I'm so proud of all his academic achievement congratulations Julian keep storing Ali's engage smart child isn't this yet he's always confident actively participating and follow the directions he treats others nicely which makes for an excellent role model will always be a pleasant addition to any first congratulations area I am pleased to announce that Danielle Soria is this your student of the year recipients for Mrs to bars his kindergarten class and then stays motivated when challenged and encourages others to do their best she worked hard in all of her assignments and complete each task neatly and efficiently for kind-hearted dedication to do her best to make her a great role model congratulations on yes we are so proud of you first grade class A. Garcia was chosen as student of the year as long as a student of the year because he consistently does his best he is polite and helpful at all times his knowledge with his classmates in a positive way without interrupting he has the ability to set goals and to meet them and I read an Accelerated Reader as well as math is continue to set any goals even during this time of distant learning I'm extremely proud of Amazon it is with great pleasure to announce Joe lately as a student of the year for Miss Hernandez has first grade class Joey is a very responsible intelligent and positive student he is very kind and enthusiastic jelly is always willing to participate in class and complete your work with a quality effort she comes to school with an excitement for Learning and she works hard to achieve all of the goals he excelled in Reading Writing and math we are so proud of her relations jewelry and keep up the great work I'm proud to announce Jonah Gomez as mrs. McClain first grade student of the year for 2020 donut is earned this war because of his hard work and dedication in everything he does Jonah always strive for success and he does it with enthusiasm and a positive attitude congratulation Jonah on his well-deserved reward an honor to announce Lionel Terrell as mrs. Frances II student of the year nothing in this world is going to stop me now from reaching the top because he always has the ambition to take his surroundings and turn them into a learning opportunity for himself has positive attitude towards School his creator imagination and his heart of gold has earned him this award anything he has done is done thoughtfully and with great leadership I'm so proud of you in town and I know you will have no limits for yourself in the years to come I'm so please Conor Mason West as mrs. legakis 2nd grade student of the year Mason has a no-nonsense attitude towards life she shows of every day ready to get things done she's determined to succeed in school as well as in all her school activities he's an extremely well-rounded young lady not only can she expressed her own ideas but she's a great class leader helping others Express themselves as well I have no doubt she's going to give great things in your life congratulations Mason and to your family for raising such an amazing child and now I'm proud to be that Becca Lopez as mrs. Reyes has student of the year for 2028 is a dedicated student who drive hard to learn all the time tables since January this year as I've Incorporated distance learning she's one student who shines everyday give me more than 100% same Corporation every new learning opportunity that I provide her with and she doesn't give up on anything that has to do with technology you've done your love for learning in the classroom as well as the distance learning I'm delighted to see how you can swim into grit and on everyday scale congratulations and now a spectacular congratulations to mr. Robinson student of the year is Judas Lopez he's done an amazing job this year he is highly motivated knows how to work hard and is not let anything get in the way of his learning he loves reading and taking Accelerated Reader test it was the first dude in the class to complete the first grade levels in Freckle math since school was forced to close he has been working tirelessly in I read Freckle math renaissance place and Google Classroom so that he does not fall behind congratulations Judas you are a wonderful student and person keep up the fabulous work and you will go very far mrs. bird student of the year is Audrina at 18 or student-of-the-year Audrina is a superstar shines by reflecting or school pledge as a model for her peers she is also motivated to lead by example with the highest AR points she's caring and she helps her classmates it's been a blessed Drina this year with her warm smile and her attitude to learn I wish her the best and know that she will continue to be successful love misses burned mrs. Pacheco student of the year is it Adriana Romero she's been chosen student of the year because she is a hard worker she tries her best in everything she does she is smart responsible and genuinely eager to learn congratulations Miss Pacheco mrs. Camacho student of the year is Derek Lopez Derek is a true example of a Hendrix Superstar student who has a positive growth mindset I think about learning learns from mistakes and six Improvement Derek is consistent persistent hard-working responsible respectful show Zephyr self-motivated Derek for the amazing work you have accomplished student of the year is every year as new students walk into the classroom some students are remarkably outstanding some students are academically stronger than others some students are exceptionally well behaved and some students are incredibly responsible yet finding all these characteristics in one student is truly extraordinary Lynette Gutierrez is characterized by any above the net tries very hard to do well in her school work she's very conscientious and responsible for her learning is very well behaved and a delight to have as a student Lynette is extremely talented in many areas she has a talent for reading and for analytical processes in addition she is a great friend and a person of trust I have no doubt in my mind Lynette will grow to be very successful and a person of influence to our society or these reasons I am chosen Lynette Gutierrez a second grade student of the year 2020 student of the year is Amber De La Pena it has been wonderful having Amber in my class this year she works with determination diligence and Leadership everyday with in the classroom setting and now from a distance long term substitute teacher when she was in TK and it was such a treat to witness for growth and development as a third grader I know she will continue to prosper and shine like a star that she has always been love Miss fun miss my sister day of the year is Maya dirado mine is a very salty Urban student that means all expectations while pushing to the limits she's the only student room 24 to meet 50th and 108th benchmarks this Academic School year Maya takes great pride in any task or assignment while encouraging those around her as well Maya is very trustworthy and I can count on her assisting me no matter what task when task or Simon seem to become challenging for my she surpasses the challenge despite the pressure of the year is Allison Campos she has earned student of the year for her outstanding performer this year she has gone above and beyond to meet her grade level standards in freckle and is exceeded Herrera goal each quarter Allison stands out for her contagious smile responsibility and her kind heart love mr. and mrs. Fraser student of the year is Jesus Soto Jesus has done a great job managing and completing challenging assignments he always shows response and helps his peers when they need assistance thank you Miss Frazier mr. Garcia student of the year is how will Hernandez hard work about never giving up and being constant Soul has been constant throughout the year being present rate behavior and having good grades constantly he deserves this award thank you for mr. Garcia Miss Rivas is student of the year is Megan Martinez simplifies everything Hendrix Superstar should be she works very hard helps those around her always carries a positive attitude and does more than expected Megan encourages her peers to do the best and isn't afraid to responsible and respectful is Megan who is always pushing and striving to work Beyond and above school expectations thank you Miss Rivas Miss Anderson student of the year is 100 even she's not only an amazing student but an amazing young lady she is honest hard-working friendly and above all kind throughout the year Alejandro challenge not only herself those around her to be the best they could be Alejandra works hard succeeds and then turns to others struggling Picks Them Up helps him see that they can succeed as well I am honored to have spent the year able to work with Alejandra congratulations Miss Henderson misfire of student of the year is Vivian Vivian Vivian has shown so much growth this year in 5th grade she is very responsive reliable trustworthy and determined to learn and she is carrying she's always asking how she can help and always unafraid to ask when she needs help I am so proud of all her hard work this year she's been an amazing student love misfire no he will light up anyone's day with the simple yet meaningful positive affirmation he's the type of guy that if he you should down and out he will offer a shoulder to cry on or smile to in exchange is never-ending determination to become successful will take Santiago very far in life thank you mr. Rodriguez mrs. Ray student of the year is Aiden Avila Aiden has such a big heart especially in caring for a class pet cupcake selfless hard-working and has a great sense of humor are just a few ways to describe what a great didn't he is eight and consistently puts the best interest of others ahead of his own he is a friend to all and offers a helping hand to any student or teacher in need you will always be remembered Aidan and not just because of the big chocolate stain next to your desk we're very proud to have Aiden represent our sixth grade class as a student of the year love Miss Ray
