Meal Service During Distance Learning Information Page

 

IMPORTANT MESSAGE REGARDING MEAL SERVICE DURING

DISTANCE LEARNING

 

Beginning the week of April 12th, the District will serve on Mondays only. The District has decided to designate Martin Luther King School as priority serving site for ECESD families.  Parents can pick up meals for their entire family, children ages 0 to 18 years old, if at least one child is registered at ECESD.  Harding, Hedrick, Kennedy and BT Washington will be open to parents and any member of the community with children ages 0 to 18 years old. 

 

 

ECESD parents are encouraged to register for a meal card. This will allow you priority access on Mondays. The link to register is  https://bit.ly/ECESD-Meals

 

*You will receive a confirmation email within two business days after completing registration.

What do you need to know?

  • Mondays meals will be provided to students of El Centro Elementary School District and will be open to the community for children 0 to 18 years old. Feeding is from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm or until food is completely distributed.
  • Martin Luther King will be the student priority site that provides meals only to ECESD Students. Parents may visit any site to receive food but, this site is designated to ensure parents have a shorter wait and are guaranteed to receive meals.  
  • The District will provide a weekly meal package including 7 breakfasts and 7 lunches.
  • Children do not need to be present for pickup. However,  the District may enforce a maximum of 4 meals per vehicle, unless all children are all present or the parent has meal cards for each student.
  • It is fraudulent to pick up meals from more than one site or on more than one day. This includes other school districts.    
  • Subject to change based on guidance from United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) or California Department of Education (CDE)
