Meal Service During Distance Learning Information Page

THE LAST DAY OF COMMUNITY FEEDING WILL BE MONDAY, AUGUST 17TH. WE WILL BE TRANSITIONING TO NATIONAL SCHOOL LUNCH PROGRAM BEGINNING, MONDAY, AUGUST 24TH. 
 

IMPORTANT MESSAGE REGARDING MEAL SERVICE DURING

DISTANCE LEARNING

 

The District is committed to offer the best service to our students and will continue to provide food services throughout the 2020-21 school year.

 

To allow for proper planning and meal preparation, we are requiring that students register for meal pickup. Parents may register the student at any time during the school year. However, we are requesting parents who would like to pick meals up on August 24th, first day of school, register by August 20th.

What do you need to know?

  • Meals will only be provided to students of El Centro Elementary School District.
  • The District will provide a weekly meal package including 5 breakfasts and 5 lunches.
  • Parent/guardian will be provided a meal card for each student registered.
  • Parent/guardian will be assigned a pickup location and time.
  • Students do not need to be present during meal pick up, but the parent must bring the meal card. 

 

Families who choose to participate in our feeding program will be contacted with instructions on how to pick up their meal card(s). If you have questions or any hardship with pickup, contact Director of Child Nutrition, Molly Diaz at (760)353-9617 ext. 7011.
